RING RESIZING

A perfect fit, the same week.

Most rings can be resized within 2-3 business days. We resize up or down, work with gold, platinum, palladium, and silver, and handle delicate eternity bands and complex pavé settings that cheaper shops won't touch. If you bought your ring from us, the first resize is on the house — that's part of our Lifetime Warranty.

WHAT IS RESIZABLE

Most rings — but not all.

We can typically resize plain bands and standard mountings 2 sizes up or 3 down without compromising integrity. Eternity bands (stones all the way around) and channel-set rings are limited — sometimes only ½ size of adjustment, sometimes none. We'll inspect first and give you a straight answer. For rings we can't safely resize, we offer custom remounting or sizing beads as alternatives.

SAME-DAY POSSIBILITIES

Some rings can be done while you wait.

Plain bands in 14k or 18k gold, simple solitaires with bezel settings, and most platinum bands (½ size adjustment) can often be resized while you wait — about 90 minutes when our jeweler is on the bench. Stop by in the morning, browse the showroom or grab coffee on State Street, and we'll text you when it's ready. For complex resizes (eternity bands, channel-set, micro-pavé), we always plan 2-3 days regardless of urgency — these need careful work and we won't rush them.

CAN ETERNITY BANDS
BE RESIZED?

Sometimes — only ¼ to ½ size, and only on certain constructions. The stones are set all the way around, so cutting and joining the band is mechanically risky. We'll give you a yes/no honest answer in person. For larger changes we recommend remaking the band entirely.

HOW MUCH
DOES IT COST?

Plain bands typically $45-95 depending on metal. Mountings with stones $75-200. Eternity bands and complex pavé start at $200. The first resize is free for rings purchased from us. We quote before starting any work.

SHOULD I SIZE UP
OR DOWN?

If your ring spins, size down. If it gets stuck or hurts at the end of the day, size up. Fingers fluctuate ½-1 size based on temperature, salt intake, exercise, and time of day — we recommend trying it on at different times before deciding.
