We replace watch batteries on most quartz watches without an appointment — drop in any time during business hours. We use the correct-specification cell for your movement (not a generic substitute), re-press the case back with our press tool to restore the original water-resistant seal, and test pressure resistance before handing the watch back. A correct battery and properly seated case back prevent the most common quartz failure modes.

Most quartz batteries last 1-3 years depending on movement type and features (backlight, alarm). Replace it as soon as the second hand starts skipping in 4-second intervals — that's the low-battery signal.

Yes. Every time we open a case back we test water resistance before returning the watch. Gaskets degrade with age — if yours is marginal, we'll tell you and quote a new one.
